Job summary

Fry YMCA in Naperville, IL is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to teach swimming to kids and adults and support members with exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current YMCA Swim Lessons or ARC Water Safety Instructor, CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen certifications required or YMCA Aquatics Academy certification.
• Ability to teach diverse youth with age-appropriate instruction.
• Meets physical qualifications for certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim skills to kids and adults and build water confidence.
• Deliver excellent customer service to members and guests.
• Assist with Swim League Instructor duties for pre-swim teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Teach swim skills to kids and adults, helping them gain confidence in the water.
• Deliver excellent customer service to our members and guests
• Looking for help with a Swim League Instructor - teaching pre-swim team kids

Requirements:

• Must be at least 15 years old
• Current certification YMCA Swim Lessons or ARC Water Safety Instructor, CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen certification or must successfully complete the YMCA’s Aquatics Academy training program resulting in certification
• Passion for working with diverse youth and ability to provide a high-quality of instruction using age-appropriate practices
• Meets physical qualifications required for certification in job
