Schedule

• Weekday: Monday–Thursday 3:45pm – 6:30pm
• Weekend: Saturday–Sunday 8:30am – 1pm

What You’ll Do

• Teach swim skills to kids and adults, helping them gain confidence in the water.
• Deliver excellent customer service to our members and guests.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Current certification YMCA Swim Lessons or ARC Water Safety Instructor, CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen certification OR must successfully complete the YMCA’s Aquatics Academy training program resulting in certification.
• Passion for working with diverse youth and ability to provide a high-quality of instruction using age-appropriate practices.
• Meets physical qualifications required for certification in job.

Child Abuse Prevention

Supports the YMCA’s commitment to child abuse prevention by reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor, following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children, reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor, and completing all child abuse prevention training as required.
