Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a forklift/load-unload associate to handle materials in the yard and for delivery to customer job sites. You will read work orders, move materials with forklifts or hand trucks, and ensure loads are properly balanced and secured.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification required.
• Experience loading/unloading materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials onto pallets or trucks.
• Assembles load packages and secures with strapping.
• Reads work orders to determine materials to move.
• Conveys materials to storage or designated area using hand truck, forklift or other device.
• Opens containers and labels items for correct identification.
• Adheres to safety procedures and attends safety meetings.
