Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and three months of related experience; forklift certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Knowledge of safety procedures while performing forklift driving and materials handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from pallets, trucks, or customer vehicles and secure with straps or padding.
• Build loads considering weight, composition, and vehicle capacity to ensure safe hauling.
• Read work orders or follow instructions to determine materials to move.
• Move materials using hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts or other devices.
• Attach tags or labels to materials for correct identification.
• Follow safety procedures and attend safety meetings; may suggest improvements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
