Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Texas to load and unload materials, and prepare orders for delivery to customer job sites. You will use forklifts and hand trucks, read work orders, and ensure loads are balanced and secured for transport.

Under supervision, you will follow safety procedures, inspect equipment, and assist with staging loads for efficient deliveries in a yard environment. A valid forklift certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Experience with loading/unloading materials in a yard or warehouse is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials from pallets, trucks or customer vehicles.
• Determines weight and placement of loads for safe hauling.
• Conveys materials using hand trucks, forklifts or other devices.
• Opens containers and labels items for correct identification.
• Follows safety procedures to prevent injuries and supports safety meetings.
