Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. is seeking a Yard Associate to assist with hauling and loading materials for delivery, ensuring safe handling in the yard and accurate preparation of loads for customer sites.

You will operate a forklift, interpret work orders, move materials between storage and loading areas, and maintain proper labeling while following safety procedures. A high school diploma or GED and forklift certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Three months of related loading/unloading experience or similar.
• Forklift certification required.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials from pallets, trucks or customers, and secures loads with straps or padding.
• Performs load-building by weighing, composing, and placing load for safe transport.
• Reads work orders or follows instructions to identify materials to move.
• Transfers materials using hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts or other devices.
• Attaches labels or tags for correct item identification and handling.
