Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a reliable team member to move trailers in the yard and assist with loading and unloading packages. The role involves operating yard equipment, documenting movements, and ensuring safety throughout the shift.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to read labels to sort packages. Training on equipment and safety procedures will be provided, with schedules including weekends and afternoon/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow safety instructions.
• Ability to sort packages by reading labels and numbers.
• Ability to use basic equipment like scanners and carts.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers to/from unload doors and yard.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Follow yard switching safety procedures.
• Load and unload packages onto/from delivery vehicles and trailers.
• Sort packages using conveyors or other systems.
• Work various schedules including weekends.
