Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking personnel to move trailers in the yard, assist with loading and unloading, and sort packages by hand when required. You will follow safety procedures, document trailer moves, and coordinate with central control to optimize yard operations.

This role may involve performing pre- and post-trip inspections, using scanners, and working in a fast-paced team environment. Prior switcher or CDL exposure is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to follow instructions regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.
• Ability to use basic tools and equipment such as scanners and carts.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors as instructed.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Handle packages by hand as part of duties when required.
