Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.
• Ability to use basic tools and equipment such as scanners, carts, and unloading devices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; works well in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors and manage yard switching.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management and central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Assist with package handling, loading/unloading packages from vehicles and conveyors.
• Sort packages by scanning, reading labels, and following charts.
