Job summary

Target's Distribution Center is seeking a Yard Driver to move tractors and trailers safely and efficiently, back them into doors, and coordinate with Dispatch and Operations Managers. This front-line role supports fast guest service and requires attention to safety and accuracy in daily tasks.

You will need a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 60 lbs, and comfort working in all weather. CDL is preferred but not required, with opportunities for benefits and growth.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Positive, respectful attitude; able to work independently.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and maneuver loads safely.
• Problem solve and escalate when needed.
• Knowledge of tractors, trailers and their systems.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Read trailer numbers and safety procedures.
• Basic math and ability to operate computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate tractors/trailers in the yard safely.
• Back up trailers into docks and yard locations.
• Maintain radio communications with Dispatch and Yard staff.
• Complete tasks accurately and on time.
