Job summary

Target is seeking a Yard Driver for the Distribution Center to move tractors and trailers quickly and safely, ensuring trailers reach doors and yard locations efficiently. You will back up trailers, maintain radio communication with Dispatch and Yard Coordinators, and perform routine safety inspections to support overall DC productivity.

• Has a valid driver’s license for state employment.
• Able to lift 30 lbs frequently and 60 lbs infrequently.
• Capable of working independently and in a team.
• Able to operate tractors and trailers and understand their systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate tractors/trailers in the yard safely and efficiently.
• Back trailers into dock and yard locations with precision.
• Maintain communication with Dispatch, Yard Coordinators and Operations Managers.
• Complete routine safety inspections of vehicles and follow safety procedures.
