Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Yard and Dock Coordinator to lead dock activities, ensuring safe trailer movements in a busy facility.

The role partners with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to execute daily dock tasks with accountability and excellent service. This hands-on leadership position requires coordinating dock operations, maintaining safety standards, and supporting site leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation-related environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures and escalation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock-related equipment as required.
• Coordinate loading and unloading dock activities to support daily priorities.
• Manage trailer docking, release, and yard flow with knowledge of trailer anatomy.
• Monitor dock conditions and stop-work when unsafe conditions are identified.
• Collaborate with site operations, transportation, and customer teams to prioritize tasks.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders to maintain customer service.
• Ensure dock activities align with guidelines, safety standards and site SWIs.
• Support dock and yard organization following 7S standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections and identify risks or delays.
• Use Microsoft Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership and lead peers as needed.
