Job summary

GXO seeks a Yard and Dock Coordinator to lead daily dock activities, ensuring safe, efficient trailer movements and yard flow in a fast-paced environment. You will partner with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to uphold process standards and deliver reliable service.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain.
• Follow defined processes, safety standards, and escalation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock equipment as required.
• Coordinate loading/unloading dock activities and trailer movements.
• Manage docking, release, and yard flow with knowledge of trailer anatomy.
• Monitor dock conditions and stop-work when unsafe; escalate when needed.
• Collaborate daily with site ops, transportation, yard services, and customer teams.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure dock activities align with processes, safety standards, and site SWIs.
• Support 7S workplace organization for dock/yards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to spot risks or delays.
• Use MS Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage to site leadership and lead peers as needed.
