Job summary

Texas State Technical College seeks an Extended Reality (XR) Developer to design, build, deploy, and maintain immersive XR applications across VR, AR, and MR platforms. You will work with faculty, designers, and engineers to create scalable XR solutions using Unity/Unreal and WebXR, delivering interactive experiences for students and learners.

You will integrate XR with LMS environments, develop reusable frameworks, and apply AI to enhance simulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Eng, Game Dev, Extended Reality, or related field.
3–4 years of experience with Unity/Unreal Engine and languages C#, C++, or JavaScript.
Portfolio or GitHub with XR projects demonstrating interactive 3D or XR development.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops, prototypes, deploys immersive XR apps using Unity/Unreal and related XR tech.
Develops browser XR experiences and integrates XR with LMS platforms and web tech.
Documents code, architecture, and development processes; defines standards and workflows.
Provides training and technical guidance to faculty and stakeholders on XR tools and best practices.
Researches emerging XR and AI technologies and advocates for improvements.
