Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is seeking an Extended Reality (XR) Developer to design, build, deploy, and maintain immersive VR/AR/MR applications for faculty and students. You will work with Unity and/or Unreal Engine, WebXR, and related technologies to translate learning objectives into engaging XR experiences.

The role involves collaboration with instructional designers, project managers, and engineers; you will prototype, test, and optimize across VR headsets, browsers, and LMS

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, Game Development, Extended Reality, or related field.
3–4 years of experience with Unity or Unreal Engine and programming in C#, C++, or JavaScript.
Demonstrated experience building interactive 3D XR apps and using source control.
Portfolio or GitHub showcasing XR projects.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy immersive XR apps using Unity/Unreal and related XR tech.
Create scalable XR components, interactions, AI integration, and simulations.
Develop browser-based XR using HTML/JS/WebXR and integrate with LMS.
Collaborate with designers, engineers and faculty; document code and standards.
Test, debug, optimize performance, and ensure accessibility across platforms.
