Job summary

Texas State Technical College is seeking an XR Developer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain immersive XR experiences for faculty and students. This role focuses on Unity/Unreal Engine work, WebXR integrations, and scalable frameworks across VR/AR/MR platforms.

You will collaborate with instructional designers and engineers, implement AI-driven features, and help standardize XR tooling and processes while supporting deployment across multiple environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/XR or related field.
• 3–4 years of interactive XR development using Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Portfolio or demonstrable XR/3D projects.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.

Responsibilities

• XR Application Development: design and deploy immersive XR apps using Unity/Unreal Engine.
• Web-based XR: develop browser XR experiences with HTML/JavaScript/WebXR and LMS integration.
• Documentation: establish coding standards and document APIs and workflows.
• Training: provide guidance and support to faculty and staff on XR tools and processes.
• Research & innovation: evaluate emerging XR/AI tech and integrate into projects.
