Job Summary

Purpose of Your Job Description: The primary purpose of your job is to perform all patient exams with the highest skill, fully utilizing all radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment and protocols to consistently obtain diagnostic-quality images. You will respond to on-demand service requests promptly.

Performance Requirements / Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic fixed and mobile equipment
• Produce expected production levels at reasonable speeds and on schedule
• Maintain a repeat rate of 6% or below
• Properly utilize radiation protection/shielding procedures for patients and staff
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of all areas, maintaining supplies for exams and procedures
• Provide courteous and professional service to patients and visitors
• Utilize departmental and hospital information systems for patient care
• Check PACS after each exam and print films/CDs upon request
• Follow sterile procedures in the OR
• Participate actively in reception, film library, and transport functions
• Maintain continuing education credits and improve performance through education
• Provide patient care appropriate to various age groups, recognizing developmental and psychological needs
• Assess patients for signs of abuse/neglect and refer appropriately

Qualifications

Education: Completion of a two-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, current unencumbered license, ARRT registration, CPR/BLS certification.

Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Radiologic Technologist, with experience in fluoroscopy and C-ARM procedures.
