This position is for Martha's Vineyard Hospital and offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Job Summary

Purpose of Your Job Description: The primary purpose of this position is to perform all patient exams with the highest skill level, utilizing radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment and protocols to produce diagnostic-quality images. Respond promptly to service requests.

Performance Requirements / Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic fixed and mobile equipment
  • Produce expected volume of images efficiently
  • Maintain a repeat rate of 6% or below
  • Follow radiation protection procedures
  • Ensure patient and staff safety
  • Maintain cleanliness and supplies
  • Provide courteous and professional patient services
  • Utilize hospital information systems
  • Check PACs, print films/CDs as requested
  • Follow sterile procedures in the OR
  • Participate in reception, film library, and transport functions
  • Maintain continuing education credits
  • Provide age-appropriate patient care for various age groups
  • Assess patient behavior and needs based on age and condition
  • Recognize signs of abuse/neglect and refer appropriately
Qualifications
  • Completion of a two-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice in the state
  • ARRT registration in radiology
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Experience with fluoroscopy and C-ARM procedures
