This position is for Martha's Vineyard Hospital and offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Job Summary

Purpose of Your Job Description: The primary purpose of this role is to perform all patient exams with high skill, utilizing radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment and protocols to produce diagnostic-quality images. You will respond promptly to service requests.

Performance Requirements / Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic fixed and mobile equipment
  • Produce expected production levels at reasonable speeds and schedules
  • Maintain a repeat rate of 6% or below
  • Use radiation protection/shielding procedures properly for patients and staff
  • Ensure patient and staff safety
  • Keep areas clean and supplies stocked
  • Provide courteous and professional patient and visitor services
  • Utilize hospital information systems for patient care
  • Check PACs after exams, print films/CDs upon request
  • Follow sterile procedures in the OR
  • Participate actively in reception, film library, and transport functions
  • Maintain continuing education credits and improve performance through education
  • Provide age-appropriate care for various patient groups
  • Assess patient behavior, needs, and psychological development, and modify approaches accordingly
  • Identify support needs and evaluate physical/emotional dependencies
  • Recognize signs of abuse/neglect and refer appropriately

Qualifications

Education: Completion of a two-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, current licensure, ARRT registration, CPR/BLS certification.

Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Radiologic Technologist, experience with fluoroscopy and C-ARM procedures.
