Job summary

Mercy Health– Youngstown, Ohio is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies under provider orders. You will operate within a multi-skilled clinical role, maintaining safety and documentation in the EMR, while supporting patient care and department workflow.

Required ARRT certification and BLS; associate degree preferred and OO licensure as applicable. Ready to travel to off-site locations as needed, with opportunities for professional development and a collaborative

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and registration required.
• State licensure preferred; Ohio licensure required by state law.
• BLS Basic Life Support required (American Heart Association).
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.
• EPIC EHR and PACS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning.
• Adjusts equipment and immobilization devices as needed and ensures radiation safety.
• Documents patient encounters in the EMR accurately.
• Selects appropriate technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• Maintains skills and supports labs or point-of-care testing as needed; may travel.
• Adheres to sterile technique and infection control; reports equipment issues.
• Performs duties such as supplies ordering, scheduling, and scribing as required.
