Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic technology preferred.
• ARRT certification/registration required or preferred per state.
• Experience with radiographic procedures and radiology information systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation protection.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment; positions patients safely and professionally.
• Accurately documents patient encounters in the EMR.
• Determines and selects correct electronic/technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• Maintains skills and may collect specimens or run point-of-care tests; may travel to other facilities as needed.
• Performs sterile technique to prevent contamination and reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Performs additional duties such as ordering supplies, registration, scheduling, and scribing as required.
