Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an X‑Ray Technician to perform digital radiography per provider orders and document patient encounters in the EMR. The role involves proper patient positioning, radiation protection, and occasional travel to other facilities to support providers.

Certification with ARRT is required; BLS is preferred on hire. Associate's degree from an ARRT‑accredited program is preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and registration required
• State licensure preferred (if applicable)
• BLS certification preferred upon hire

Responsibilities

• Safely performs radiographic examinations per provider orders
• Ensures proper patient positioning and radiation protection
• Documents encounters in EMR
• Selects proper technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment
• Maintains and travels to off-site locations as needed for patient care
• Maintains sterile technique to prevent contamination
• Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunctions
• Performs related duties such as scheduling, registrations and tracing tests as needed
