Job summary

CareNow is seeking a Medical Assistant - X-ray Tech PRN to join our patient-focused urgent care team. You will take vital signs, perform imaging studies, update charts in the EHR, and support check-in/out processes while ensuring clear communication with patients.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year clinical experience, licensure in radiology tech categories, and BLS certification. AAMA certification is a plus; on-site clinic environment with comprehensive benefits and sign-on incentives.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical patient care experience is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT/LMRT or NCT license required in state of residency.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and sent-out lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
