Job summary

CareNow - Forum MSO, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a X-ray Tech/Medical Assistant to join our urgent care team. You will take vital signs, perform imaging under orders, document in the EHR, and assist with patient flow and check-in/check-out.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in patient care, EHR experience, and a completed Medical Assistants program. Licensing in radiology and BLS within 30 days are required; a courage to obtain certification within 3 months is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT, LMRT, or NCT license required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS Certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart auditing.
• Maintain in-house lab records and external lab communications.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
