Job summary

CARENOW - SPRING BRANCH MSO, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an X-ray Tech - Medical Assistant to join our urgent care team. You will perform imaging, take vitals, collect specimens, and support patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

We welcome graduates from accredited Medical Assistant programs, with relevant state licensure and BLS certification. AAMA certification is preferred, and a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 is available.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT/LMRT or NCT license required in state of residency.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records of in-house lab work and external lab submissions.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
