Job summary

CareNow urgent care, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a dedicated X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant to support patient care and radiology services in Colorado. You will take vitals, perform EKGs, injections and imaging, and document results in the EHR while assisting with patient flow and chart accuracy.

The role requires at least 1 year of clinical experience, EHR familiarity, and requisite licenses/certifications, including a LMRT/RT license in the state of residency and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) required.
• Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO/LMRT) license required in state of residency.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records/logs for radiology and in-house labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
