Job summary

HCA Healthcare's CareNow urgent care is seeking an X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant to support patient care with imaging services and chart updates. The role involves collecting specimens, administering injections, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EHR.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of clinical experience, an approved MA program, state GMRT/LMRT/NCT license, and BLS certification. AAMA is preferred and certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in patient care.
• EHR system experience is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistants program or approved BOTP.
• GMRT/LMRT or NCT license in state of residency is required.
• AAMA certification is preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days.
• Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages when needed.
• Assist check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records for in-house and sent-out lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
