Mercy Health in Richmond, VA is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiography under provider orders. You will position patients, protect against radiation, operate EMR, and adjust settings for safe exams.

The role requires ARRT certification and VA state licensure if applicable, with BLS preferred and 1 year radiology experience preferred. Travel to off-site facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and state licensure (Virginia state licensure required).
• BLS certification preferred at hire; must obtain prior to direct patient care.
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Safely performs radiographic exams with proper patient positioning and protection.
• Set up and adjust equipment; ensure safe patient handling.
• Document patient encounters in the EMR.
• Select factors safeguarding patient, tube, and equipment.
• Travel to facilities and adjust hours as needed for patient care.
• Maintain sterile technique and report equipment issues promptly.
