Job summary

The Patient Navigator at Healogics LLC helps manage front office functions at our outpatient wound care center, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent patient interaction.

Responsibilities include coordinating scheduling, handling insurance and pre-authorizations, managing patient charts, and coordinating testing and transportation, all while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Prior medical coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
• Greets patients and visitors, answers and routes calls to appropriate staff.
• Schedule, reschedule, and send appointment reminders; assist providers as needed.
• Obtain and verify patient insurance information, pre-certifications, and pre-authorizations.
• Enter charges in databases and prepare monthly patient survey data.
• Assemble and maintain patient charts; manage document signatures.
• Coordinate/schedule ancillary testing with other hospital departments.
• Arrange patient transportation as needed; maintain office equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as required.
