Qualifications

• Prior medical coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors; routes calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintains patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and reminders.
• Verifies patient insurance information, pre-certifications, and pre-authorizations.
• Enters data and collects patient charges; reconciles charges as directed.
• Assembles and maintains patient charts and supports testing coordination.
• Coordinates/schedules ancillary testing with hospital departments.
• Arranges patient transportation as needed.
