Job summary

Healogics is seeking a Patient Navigator to support an outpatient wound care center. You will perform front office duties, assist staff, and help ensure smooth daily operations in a dynamic clinical setting.

Key tasks include greeting patients, scheduling, data entry for charges, and coordinating testing and transportation. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good customer, interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to type 60 words per minute (wpm).
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
• Greets patients and visitors, answers and routes calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintains patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders.
• Obtains and verifies patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for services.
• Enters data in appropriate databases and collects/records patient charges.
• Verifies and reconciles charges, prepares monthly patient surveys and transmits to providers.
• Assembles new patient charts and maintains existing charts with data completeness.
• Coordinates/schedules ancillary testing with other hospital departments.
• Arranges patient transportation as needed and maintains office equipment and supplies.
