Job summary

PACS is seeking a Treatment Nurse to ensure effective and efficient care as prescribed by the physician and facility policies. The nurse reports to the Director of Nursing and must meet state and federal standards to provide high-quality resident care.

The role emphasizes accurate charting, wound assessment, and collaboration with physicians and health professionals to maintain resident well-being and safety. CPR certification and ongoing licensure requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years or more experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must maintain all required continuing education for licensing.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with residents and their family about Plans of Care, PT, OT and other treatment protocols.
• Provide resident care including carrying out physician’s orders for care, including providing medication and treatment.
• Observe and assess wounds and other conditions and notify physicians as needed.
• Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during visits and examinations.
• Report significant findings or changes in condition to RN Supervisor or DON.
• Participate in the orientation and training of nursing staff.
