Job summary

PACS in Texas is seeking a Treatment Nurse to ensure that prescribed care is delivered efficiently while complying with facility policies and regulatory standards. The nurse reports to the Director of Nursing and provides care per physician orders and facility guidelines.

The role emphasizes communication with residents and families, accurate charting, wound assessment, and collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to maintain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years or more experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.
• Maintain a current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with residents and family about Plans of Care and treatment protocols.
• Maintain nursing standards and professional decorum.
• Chart nurses’ notes reflecting care provided and resident responses.
• Provide resident care including medication and treatments per physician orders.
• Observe and assess wounds and report progress or infection signs to physicians.
• Assist in updating care plans for treatment-related issues.
• Assist physicians during visits and examinations; communicate with health professionals.
