Job summary

PACS is hiring a Treatment Nurse to ensure effective and efficient care per physician orders and facility policies. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and requires a current nursing license with CPR certification.

Key duties include patient care, wound management, documentation, and coordination with physicians and family members to maintain high-quality outcomes. The position emphasizes compassion and professional standards in a post-acute setting.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years or more experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with residents and family about Plans of Care and treatment protocols.
• Maintain an acceptable standard of nursing practice and professional decorum.
• Chart nurses’ notes reflecting care provided and resident response.
• Provide resident care including medications and treatment per physician orders.
• Observe and assess wounds and pressure ulcers; notify physicians of progress or deterioration.
• Ensure wound care management services are included in the care plan.
• Assist in updating care plans for treatment-related issues.
• Assist physicians during visits and examinations.
• Communicate with physicians and health professionals regarding resident care.
• Notify family and attending physicians of significant treatment-related issues.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training of nursing staff.
• Report significant findings to RN Supervisor and/or DON.
