Job summary

CareMed Health Solutions seeks a skilled Wound NP to provide wound care services for residents in long-term care facilities. You will prescribe medications, order treatments, and collaborate with the primary care physician to coordinate comprehensive care.

The role requires an active NP license and board certification, with experience in adult, family, or geriatric wound care and familiarity with EMR systems in a team-based setting.

Qualifications

Active NP license in Arkansas.
Board certification as NP.
DEA licensure (Optional).
Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
Experience with wound care (chronic, debilitating, stalled, or infected wounds).
Competence diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed wounds or Kennedy ulcers.

Responsibilities

Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
Prescribe medications, including controlled substances per AR law.
Order, review, and follow up treatments and diagnostics.
Communicate with nursing home staff about changes in condition and care plans.
Collaborate with the primary care physician to coordinate care.
