CareMed Health Solutions seeks a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive wound management for residents in long-term care facilities in Washington. You will diagnose, treat, and coordinate care for complex wounds, working within an interdisciplinary team using an EMR.

Qualified candidates hold a WA NP license, board certification, and optional DEA; experience in wound care, wound vacs, and chronic wounds is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted NP license in WA.
• Board Certification.
• Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
• Clinical background of wound care; includes chronic/infected wounds.
• Comfort diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed wounds or Kennedy Ulcers.
• Ability to stage pressure injuries per NPIAP.
• Familiar with wound care products: collagens, alginates, foams, silvers, etc.
• Experience with wound vacs and DME devices.
• Strong preference for wound certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Ability to work with an EMR.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary care team.

Responsabilités

• Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances per WA law.
• Order, review, and follow up with treatments and diagnostic testing.
• Communicate with nursing home staff about changes in condition and care plans.
• Collaborate with the primary care physician.
• Coordinate patient care within an interdisciplinary team.
