Job summary

CareMed Health Solutions is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to deliver wound care services to residents in long-term care facilities. You will prescribe medications, order and review treatments, and work with facility staff to adjust care plans as needed.

Ideal candidates have AR NP licensure, board certification, and a strong background in wound care within geriatric or family practice. Experience with EMR and interdisciplinary teams is highly valued.

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted NP license in AR.
Board Certification.
DEA licensure (Optional).
Clinical background in adult, family, or geriatric specialties.
Clinical background of wound care; including chronic, debilitating, stalled, or infected wounds.
Comfort diagnosing and treating diabetic, arterial, venous, and mixed etiology wounds or Kennedy Ulcers.
Staging pressure injuries per NPIAP.
Familiar with wound care products; collagens, alginates, foams, silvers, etc.

Responsibilities

Provide wound care services for long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities.
Prescribe medications, including controlled substances per AR law.
Order, review, and follow up treatments and diagnostic testing.
Communicate with nursing home staff about condition changes and care plans.
Collaborate with the primary care physician.
