Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to deliver patient-centered care within a collaborative practice setting in New Jersey.

The role requires comprehensive assessments, ordering and interpreting tests, and prescribing meds per NJ regulations. Active NP license, national certification, and ACLS are required; strong communication and ongoing professional development are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an NLN/AACN accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current NJ NJ State Professional RN license and APN license.
• National board certification as NP (AANP/ANCC).
• Prescriptive authority in NJ with CDS/DEA registrations.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents comprehensive history and physical assessments.
• Orders, performs, and interprets labs and imaging in collaboration with physicians.
• Manages medical/surgical conditions with pharmacologic knowledge.
• Prescribes medications per NJ regulations and provides patient education.
• Promotes APN practice recognition through conferences and publications.
• Provides culturally sensitive health management education to patients/families.
• Ensures care aligns with NJ scope of practice and organizational policies.
• Participates in interdisciplinary rounds and quality improvement efforts.
