Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) and prescriptive authority through CDS/DEA.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents comprehensive histories and physicals.
• Orders and interprets labs and diagnostics in collaboration with physicians.
• Manages general medical/surgical conditions with current pharmacology knowledge.
• Prescribes medications in accordance with NJ regulations and guidance.
• Promotes APN practice recognition through conferences, publications, and presentations.
• Provides patient- and family-centered care with education and counseling.
• Ensures adherence to staff bylaws, policies, and bylaw scopes of practice.
• Translates best practices into clinical protocols and applies evidence-based care.
• Mentors APNs, precepts students, and participates in nursing education programs.
• Partners with the healthcare team to coordinate care and improve outcomes.
