Job summary

Build-A-Bear in Memorial City Mall, Houston, is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations, guest experience, and staff leadership.

You will assist in scheduling, training, and executing sales strategies, manage inventory and displays, and uphold brand standards in a high-energy retail environment.

Required: 2 years of store management and a high school diploma. Preferred: 2–4 years management experience and an Associate's degree.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in assigning daily tasks and supervising staff.
• Assist in hiring decisions and staff promotions, providing feedback and recommendations.
• Lead shifts, enforce company policies, and uphold security, cash handling and safety standards.
• Drive sales as Floor Leader by coaching and delivering a top Guest experience.
• Maintain merchandising displays that align with brand standards and create an inviting store environment.
• Oversee inventory processes including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Support building a high-performing team delivering exceptional Guest experiences.
