Job summary

Build-A-Bear is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for Irvine Spectrum to support the store leader in daily operations, guest experience, and staff coordination. You will drive sales, manage shifts, and ensure policies and cash handling are followed while maintaining a safe, engaging shop environment.

The role requires a customer-centric mindset, strong leadership, and the ability to work a retail schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric retail environment.
• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager with daily assignments and task delegation.
• Participate in hiring decisions and provide feedback on staff advancement.
• Lead shifts, enforce policies, and ensure safety and cash handling procedures.
• Drive sales through experiential guest service and staff coaching to meet targets.
• Maintain brand standards for merchandising displays and store layout.
• Oversee inventory processes including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Support development of a high-performing team delivering excellent guest experiences.
