Job summary

Build-A-Bear in Shops at Mission Viejo is seeking a Full-Time Store Manager to lead the workshop, drive sales, coach the Bear Builders and AWMs, and ensure an exceptional Guest experience in a dynamic retail setting.

You will hire and develop a high-performing team, manage schedules, payroll, inventory, and merchandising to brand standards while upholding company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in a customer-centric environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with POS, scheduling, and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales and team performance to deliver an Experience First Guest experience.
• Create weekly schedules and assign daily tasks with the AWM.
• Make hiring and promotion decisions with input from the AWM and HR.
• Enforce policies, ensure safety, and manage cash handling and security.
• Oversee inventory management, receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Develop a high-performing team in partnership with the AWM.
