Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in operations, guest service, staff management, and executing sales and marketing strategies. The role emphasizes leadership, staffing, and adherence to policies to deliver an Experience First culture.

You will assist in hiring, scheduling, and coaching the team while driving sales, managing inventory, and maintaining brand standards in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in customer-centric retail.
• High school diploma is required.
• Basic understanding of store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager with daily assignments and lead the team on shifts.
• Assist in hiring, promotion decisions, and provide feedback.
• Lead, coach, and ensure adherence to policies; manage security and cash handling.
• Drive sales by creating a Guest experience and forecasting sales.
• Oversee inventory receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Develop a high-performing team delivering exceptional Guest experience.
