Job summary

Northern VA Community College is seeking a Workforce Advantage Success Coach to serve as the primary point of contact for participants. You will provide individualized case management, help navigate barriers, and connect students with campus and community resources from enrollment through credential completion and career transition.

This exempt, full-time role may telework after completing state probation, and requires collaboration with program staff to monitor progress, meet grant

Qualifications

• Ability to build trusting, supportive relationships with diverse populations.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Comfortable learning new systems and adapting to changing processes.
• Familiarity with Navigate, or similar case management platforms.
• Knowledge of community resources throughout Northern Virginia.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish, Amharic, Arabic are strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

• Direct student support to program participants
• Develop individualized success plans with students and help them establish realistic academic, career, and personal goals.
• Program administration, data management, partner collaboration, and continuous program improvement.
• Support student coaching, events, orientations, workshops, and other program activities.
• Maintains accurate, timely, and complete program records and case documentation
• Tracks participant progress and program outcomes
• Meets grant reporting deadlines; ensures compliance with grant requirements, FERPA, and institutional policies; and effectively coordinates with program, financial, and administrative staff to support efficient program operations.
