Job summary

BRCC seeks a Student Outreach - Success Coach to support program participants as they prepare for postsecondary education and workforce training, assisting with admissions, FAFSA, financial aid, and referrals while driving outreach in the service area.

The role emphasizes advising, case management, recruitment, and partnerships with schools and community organizations. A bachelor’s degree and experience in student services are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, business, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience providing academic support services.
• Experience working with military students, veterans, and/or active service members.
• Experience working with adults in community and college settings.
• Ability to overcome barriers similar to those experienced by EOC participants.

Responsibilities

• 40% Participant Advising, Case Management, and College Access Support: Manage a caseload and provide advising, counseling, mentoring, and support for college admissions and financial aid.
• 15% Outreach and Participant Recruitment: Develop and implement recruitment strategies across the service area.
• 10% Community Partnerships and Referral Services: Build relationships with schools and community partners and connect participants to resources.
• 10% Workshops and Presentations: Develop and deliver workshops on financial literacy, study skills, goal setting, and work readiness.
• 15% Participant Records, Tracking, and Documentation: Maintain electronic records and monitor progress and outcomes.
• 5% Program Outreach Materials and Events: Support creation of outreach materials and coordinate events.
• 5% Other duties as assigned
