Travelers seeks a Counsel to handle a caseload of predominantly low to moderate complexity, handling claims from inception through trial and appeal, delivering strong legal representation for insured customers.

You will conduct research, draft pleadings, attend court events, and collaborate with claim partners to develop strategy while leveraging technology and building client relationships.

Qualificações

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree from an accredited school.
• Active license to practice law in the required state(s).
• Minimum 2 years of practicing attorney experience.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and apply litigation skills to try cases to verdict or negotiate resolution.
• Conduct legal research and produce persuasive writing and oral arguments.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery and other documents.
• Attend court events, depositions, and appointments independently.
• Provide case analysis and recommendations to insured clients and claim partners.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships.
• Provide advice and training to Claim partners and clients.
• Fully utilize case management systems and automation.
• Travel as required to meet business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
