Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company seeks an attorney with 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience to handle a caseload of low to moderate complexity. You will develop litigation strategies, draft pleadings, and conduct research to support case outcomes for Travelers' insured customers.

You will attend court events, depositions, and other proceedings, travel as required, and collaborate with claim partners to achieve optimal results.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills suitable for presenting information to diverse audiences.
• Persuasive legal writing and oral advocacy abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail and urgency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply litigation skills to try cases to verdict or negotiate resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Attend court events, depositions, and appointments independently.
• Provide case analysis and recommendations to insured clients and claim partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and business partners.
• Provide training to claim partners and clients and use the case management system effectively.
