• Communicate with insurance carriers, adjusters, clients, and opposing counsel about case status.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with Georgia WC laws, rules, and procedures.
• Assist with settlements, mediations, depositions, hearings, and other resolutions.
• Prepare case summaries and maintain organized files.

Position Overview:

A respected law firm in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Associate Attorney with a solid foundation in Georgia Workers' Compensation law. The firm seeks an Attorney who can step in, contribute to the team, and continue developing their practice within a collaborative environment alongside experienced Attorneys and Partners.

This position offers hands‑on experience managing workers’ compensation defense matters, working directly with a dedicated partner, and developing effective case strategies while delivering quality legal work and client service.

Responsibilities of the Workers' Compensation Defense Associate Attorney:

• Assist in managing a Georgia workers’ compensation defense caseload, working closely with a dedicated partner and senior attorneys.
• Review medical records, claims files, and other case-related documents to evaluate exposure and support case strategy.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Communicate with insurance carriers, adjusters, clients, and opposing counsel regarding case status and developments.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with Georgia workers’ compensation laws, rules, and procedures.
• Assist with settlement negotiations, mediations, depositions, hearings, and other case-resolution activities.
• Prepare case summaries, organize supporting documentation, and maintain accurate and well‑organized files.
• Provide responsive, professional client service while contributing to the overall success of the team.

Requirements of the Workers' Compensation Defense Associate Attorney:

• Active Georgia Bar license in good standing.
• A solid foundation in Georgia Workers’ Compensation law and defense procedures.
