The ideal candidate holds a JD, is admitted to the bar, and brings practical experience in defense litigation. The position requires collaboration with claim partners and may involve travel to meet client needs.

Qualifications

Active license to practice law in the required state(s).
2+ years of practicing attorney experience in insurance defense is preferred.
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Willingness to travel as needed for the role and client matters.

Responsibilities

Develop and apply effective litigation strategies to handle cases from inception through trial or appeal.
Conduct legal research and craft persuasive writing and presentations for varied audiences.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and other documents.
Attend court events, depositions, and other proceedings as required.
Provide case analyses and recommendations to insured clients and partners on file handling strategies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and partners.
Utilize available technology and case management systems to support efficient handling of matters.
Travel as required to meet business needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
