Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Whitpain Township, PA seeks an experienced Counsel to handle a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through trial and appeal. You will apply litigation skills to deliver optimal results for Travelers' insured customers and collaborate with claim partners.

Ideal candidates have a Juris Doctorate, active license in required states, and 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience, with strong writing and negotiation abilities.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree.
• Active license to practice in required state(s).
• 2 years practicing attorney experience.
• Willingness to travel to hearings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop litigation strategies and try cases to verdict or negotiate resolutions.
• Conduct legal research and strong writing and presentation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery and other documents.
• Attend court events, depositions, and appointments.
• Provide case analysis to insured clients and claim partners.
• Build relationships with clients and partners; travel as needed.
